Reet Aus collection is created by implementing upcycling in early stages of the mass production process. All garments are made from textile leftovers, what usually end up in landfills. This has reduced environmental impacts - each item produced in this way uses an average of 70% less water and 88% less energy than regular products.
Collection is inspired by the design limitations of upcycling. Most of the fabrics are small in size, though sometimes bigger parts come from roll-ends. Considering the characteristics of leftover material in design, abstract geometric entity is created.
It’s time for us to upcycle our humanity by producing and buying in ways that do more good than harm.
